Job Description

Voleon is a technology company that applies state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems in finance. For nearly two decades, we have led our industry and worked at the frontier of applying AI/ML to investment management. We have become a multibillion-dollar asset manager, and we have ambitious goals for the future.

Your colleagues will include internationally recognized experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning research as well as highly experienced finance and technology professionals. The people who shape our company come from other backgrounds, including concert music performances, humanitarian aid, opera singing, sports writing, and BMX racing. You will be part of a team that loves to succeed together.

In addition to our enriching and collegial working environment, we offer highly competitive compensation and benefits packages, technology talks by our experts, a beautiful modern office, daily catered lunches, and more.

As a Senior Recruiter, Quantitative Research at Voleon, you will report to the Manager of Research Recruiting, and serve as a full-cycle recruiting expert responsible for building the Quantitative Research and Data Science investment teams at a leading AI/ML-driven quantitative asset management firm

  • You will work alongside internationally-recognized AI/ML researchers, seasoned finance and technology professionals, and a diverse, collaborative team, all within a competitive compensation structure

  • This role is a means to make a difference: by identifying and attracting world-class talent, you will directly shape Voleon's ambitious next chapter in AI-powered investment management.

  • Ensure we’re meeting our hiring goals in a sustainable and diligent manner

  • Contribute to sourcing a rich pipeline of rarified (I.E. PhD-level) quantitative research talent

  • Manage the offer process and develop effective closing strategies

  • Own the candidate experience and make it a positive and memorable journey, even for candidates who do not join the firm

  • Maintain and improve a high-performance recruiting process tuned to delivering outstanding quality of hire

  • Develop, share, and compound market knowledge & insights around talent markets and effective recruiting practices

  • Lead various projects to improve our recruiting efforts overall

Requirements

  • At least five years of talent acquisition experience with demonstrated expertise in sourcing and full-cycle recruitment of investment research talent

  • Experience recruiting PhD-level AI/ML Researcher and Data Science talent preferred

  • Excellent client management skills with a history of developing customized, consultative relationships with a variety of stakeholders

  • Track record of making substantial contributions at the team level, including mentorship, process improvement, and contributions to institutional knowledge
