  • Single Throw Marketing
  • Manalapan, NJ

Job Description

5+ YEARS PPC EXPERIENCE | MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At Single Throw Marketing, we’re not looking for just any candidate — we’re seeking a driven, analytical Paid Media Manager who can lead people, manage sophisticated paid media programs, and drive high-impact performance across the department.

This role combines senior-level paid media expertise with department leadership. You will remain directly involved in campaign strategy, account management, optimization, performance analysis, and problem-solving while also leading the people, resources, processes, and standards that support our Paid Media accounts.

You will manage internal team members as well as partners and other external resources, ensuring the right expertise and resources are in place across the portfolio. You will set the direction for Paid Media, but you will also be close enough to the work to challenge strategy, identify issues, make informed decisions, and improve campaign performance.

The right candidate brings both technical depth and leadership ability. You know what strong paid media looks like because you have done the work yourself, and you know how to build a team and operating structure that consistently delivers it. You are analytical, highly accountable, and motivated by finding better ways to drive results.

Experience managing service-based and lead-generation businesses is strongly preferred. Agency experience is also preferred.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and oversee paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta that align with client goals and drive meaningful engagement, conversions, and results.
  • Remain hands-on in campaign strategy, account reviews, optimization, testing, troubleshooting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee accounts ranging from smaller local budgets to large, enterprise-level paid media programs, adapting strategy based on account size, complexity, and business objectives.
  • Develop campaign strategies for service-based and lead-generation businesses, including campaigns where conversions may include phone calls, form submissions, appointments, consultations, or qualified leads.
  • Conduct and oversee keyword research, audience targeting, competitive analysis, and bid management.
  • Continuously optimize campaign structure, ad messaging, targeting, budgets, and bidding strategies based on performance data.

Data & Performance Management

  • Analyze campaign and business data to identify opportunities, risks, and performance issues and drive measurable improvements.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of conversion tracking, attribution, KPIs, and campaign measurement.
  • Monitor metrics including conversion rates, cost per acquisition, cost per qualified lead, ROAS, store visits, and other client-specific KPIs.
  • Ensure the team is accurately measuring campaign performance and connecting media results to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Identify tracking, attribution, or data-quality issues and take ownership of getting them resolved.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Team & Department Leadership

  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop the Paid Media team while maintaining a high standard for performance and quality.
  • Establish clear expectations, workflows, priorities, and accountability across the department.
  • Review team and account performance, provide coaching, and address performance or quality gaps.
  • Manage team capacity and resource allocation across the client portfolio.
  • Build and maintain department processes, QA standards, and operational systems that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and technology to improve team productivity and campaign performance.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.

Collaboration & Client Leadership

  • Partner with content, creative, data, SEO, web, and client success teams to develop integrated client strategies.
  • Collaborate with client success teams to deliver insightful performance reporting and proactively implement enhancements.
  • Clearly communicate campaign results, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic resource for paid media performance and client growth.
  • Take ownership of department and account-level opportunities and proactively determine what needs to happen next.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns, with strong Google Ads experience.
  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience, managing paid media professionals.
  • Experience managing enterprise-level and smaller accounts, including significant paid media budgets.
  • Experience with service-based businesses and lead-generation campaigns,
  • Strong understanding of Google Ads and Meta Ads, including campaign structure, keyword strategy, audience targeting, bidding, optimization, and budget management.
  • Strong analytical and data skills with experience using Google Analytics and reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, attribution, lead quality, and campaign measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect paid media performance to qualified leads, revenue, and broader business objectives.
  • Proven experience building or improving departmental processes, workflows, QA standards, and operational systems.
  • Strong agency experience and an understanding of managing multiple clients, priorities, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ambition, sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous performance improvement.
