Location: Canton Ohio
Shift: 1st Shift MondayFriday 7:00 AM3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00$26.00 per hour based on experience and skill level

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Paint / Powder Coater to apply wet paint and powder coatings to precision sheet metal fabrications. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with both wet painting and powder coating processes and a strong understanding of coating application surface preparation and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial washing equipment to clean metal parts before coating.
• Mask parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Load and unload parts on the conveyor system.
• Prepare and mix liquid coatings to achieve the required color and consistency.
• Load powder coating material into the application hopper as needed.
• Operate spray equipment to apply wet paint and powder coatings to metal surfaces.
• Set and monitor oven temperatures to ensure proper curing of coatings.
• Inspect finished parts for coating quality and proper thickness using a mil thickness gauge.
• Remove parts from the conveyor and remove masking materials as required.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in both wet painting and powder coating of precision sheet metal fabrications is required.
• Knowledge of industrial coating application methods and surface preparation.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using coating thickness gauges is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand walk reach and bend throughout the work shift.

• First shift: 7:00 AM3:30 PM
• MondayFriday schedule
• Pay range: $20.00$26.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level
