ESTATE MANAGER

A private family seeks an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, presentation, and service standards of a significant residence.
The Estate Manager will serve as the central point of coordination for household operations, ensuring the residence is consistently maintained, fully prepared, and operating to exceptional standards. This individual will lead household staff, coordinate vendors and contractors, anticipate the family’s needs, and provide hands-on oversight of the many details associated with a sophisticated private residence.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, discreet, service-minded, and comfortable working directly with Principals while leading staff with professionalism and respect.
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee daily household and estate operations
• Lead, schedule, and coordinate household staff
• Maintain exceptional standards for residence readiness, housekeeping, presentation, and hospitality
• Manage vendors, contractors, maintenance schedules, and service providers
• Coordinate household purchasing, inventories, and supplies
• Assist with entertaining, guests, and special events
• Coordinate with culinary, transportation, security, and other resources as appropriate
• Maintain household calendars, operating procedures, and property information
• Monitor household expenses and support budgeting and reporting
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and residential projects
• Anticipate Principal and guest requirements and ensure seamless execution
• Recruit, train, and develop household staff as needed
• Maintain absolute discretion regarding the family, residences, and personal information
Ideal Candidate
Candidates should have significant experience managing a high-end private residence, estate, luxury hospitality operation, or comparable service environment. Strong staff leadership, vendor management, residential systems knowledge, organizational ability, and polished communication skills are essential.
The ideal Estate Manager is proactive and hands-on without micromanaging; confident without ego; and equally comfortable managing a major project or personally attending to an important household detail.
Exceptional judgment, flexibility, discretion, and a genuine commitment to private service are required.
Schedule: Full-time with flexibility based upon Principal and household needs
Travel: Some travel may be required
